We welcome teachers from native and non-native English speaking countries to join us in our quest to develop and increase awareness of learning English as a Second Language in China.

In return, this is a great opportunity to travel and learn more about Chinese culture and history, which dates back thousand of years. China is rich in historical and cultural spots, where you can feel the wonders of the south with its huge rocky mountains and sunny beaches or the north's magical ice carvings.

Though salary offered is at a conservative level, the chance to explore China will enrich you with limitless experience you can never experience somewhere else.

Teaching curriculum is mostly focused on Conversational English and Grammar. Teaching materials will be provided by host organizations and new ideas are always welcome.

We welcome to apply both, university graduates and undergraduates, with or without teaching experience. All we need are those who are passionate enough to commit to this educational exchange endeavor.

You will be provided with the following upon acceptance to the program:

1. Paid monthly stipend.
2. Private furnished accommodation with western bathroom, basic furniture and amenities.
3. Round trip airfare reimbursed at the conclusion of your contract.

5. Three-day orientation program in Beijing.

Program options

China Education Exchange will adapt itself to your needs. Actually, our organization is offering three different programs under ESL Teaching.

Program A -FREE-
Potential teachers can apply directly through the schools database available on the web site (Schools available section). Contact us to know which school you are willing to work for and we will match you immediately. This is a free service without any costs.
However, please notice that not all available teaching positions are shown in this web site. This program is especially designed for native English speakers or other people who have some experience teaching or living in China.For your interest, we can offer Airport pick-up, discounted hotel accommodation and other services at very competitive prices.
Under this program, in the event that you encounter any misundertanding with your host institution, China Education Exchange cannot mediate on your behalf.

Program B -Using China Education Exchange services-
China Education Exchange will help you to find the best teaching position, according to your requests, preferences and needs. Our organization maintains a strong relationship with a wide range of schools, colleges and universities all around China. Using our services (placement, orientation, counseling and so on) will help you to find a better assignment. If you choose this option, our organization will act as your representative in China.
Application fee: USD85 (USD35 refundable when teacher arrives to China).

Program C -For non-native English speakers-
If you are really motivated in teaching English in China but you are not from English speaking countries such as USA, Canada, UK, Australia or New Zealand; put in touch with China Education Exchange and let us know about you. We can help you! Because of the difficulties of finding schools which accept non-native English speakers, we have to charge USD300 although we will refund you USD200 if we cannot find a position within the next 6 months.

In addition:

1. 3-days Orientation Fee of USD 300. You will receive a package containing useful information about China and teaching tool packets during the Orientation Period. Your hotel accommodation, meals and airport pick-up will be provided. This is due prior to your arrival to China.
We strongly recommend you the 3-days orientation, if this is your first time in China.
2. Continued Network Support Fee of USD 500 / year. This is an optional service which contains: continued assistance, China Education Exchange mediation when necessary, bulletins, newsletters to keep informed our teachers in China and so on.

CEX and your host institution jointly, will provide you a Certificate of Teaching upon your completion of the Program.

Eligibility

All passport holders from English speaking countries such as the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
(Other passport holders for Program C).

You need to have at least completed a 4-year degree in a University or relevant institution. Undergraduates are also welcome.

You should be at least 21 years old.

What To Submit

1. Completed Online Application Form.
2. Copy of the first page of your passport.
3. Medical notice of good health.
4. Copy of your resume including referees contact information and at least one recommendation letter.
5. Copy of your University diploma.
