Program Acceptance

Conditional Acceptance to the program

We can summarize all the process in two easy steps:

1) The first step toward getting accepted to the program is the submission of your Online Application Form together with the payment of the application fee (notice that every program has different conditions regarding to application fees and other costs).

To apply online you have two options: Using "Application Profile" section - on the left or "Applicant" section - at the top.

2) As soon as we receive your completed application packet, we will send you a letter notifying your Conditional Acceptance to the program and schedule a phone interview with you. Following phone interview, we will notify you in writing your full acceptance to the program.

Program and other Fees

Other than the application fee per program (where applicable), there is also the Program Service Fee that covers placement, orientation, process administration services and continued support while you are teaching, interning or working with our contracted government agencies, research institutes, schools or companies. All fees are due at the signing of your contract with host organization. Take a look on your favorite program and see further details.

Orientation Workshop

All program participants, except for Home-stay, Summer / Winter Teaching or people with prior experience in China, are required to join a 3-day orientation workshop in Beijing (China) or in some cases in the place where the host school / organization is located.
Also, ASM will keep in touch with you during your stay in China to provide counseling, advise and support.
Provision of a network of contacts will also be given as they become available or upon special request.

Placement Services

We will send you as many placement options as possible that matches your preferences and qualifications during the 4 weeks following receipt of your application fee (not applicable for ESL Teaching Program A).
We strive to do our best to match your preferences and needs with those of the host institutions or organizations.

Agreement and Contract

Program Service Agreement between applicant and ASM will have to be signed before any service could be rendered further, between applicant and hosting institution / organization.

Afterwards, Employment Contract will be signed between Applicant and host school / organization. The contract will cover your monthly salary, paid vacations, housing, meal plan and airfare reimbursement (as they apply). Includes all other concerns.
